Cher Rue A True Inspiration

 Cher Rue  a native Californian grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Cher attended Cal Prep High School.

Growing up around the Media and celebrities was natural to her. Her love for films and television and her desire to help others led her on her path to documentaries and interviews. It is never to late to make your dreams come true, and now she is on her path in acting. Cher was Producer and co-host for her own Cable show with Adelphia Cable for 2 years in Los Angeles.

Cher has been involved in the plus size community for over 10 years, starting out with helping out good friend Kathleen Divine as her assistant in the Costa Mesa BBW nightclub the Butterfly Lounge.www.butterflylounge.com

Cher then went on to have three of her own clubs with different partners. She has always supported the plus size community in finding comradery and friendship, she loves seeing others having fun in a safe atmosphere.

Cher found the BBW community 13 years ago online and her life has changed by meeting some of the kindest most loving people in her life. People have said she has made a difference in their lives, and that touches her heart knowing she has helped someone.

Cher's hobbies include wave running, travel, boating, dancing and being creative. Her love to help others shows by her constant connection in helping charities. St.Jude's Children's hospital and animal charities are dear to her heart.

Cher was a plus size model and has judged many contests for the plus size community.She has a relationship column www.dearchersadvice.com for the last 8 years.

Cher is always working on new projects and her latest is her own Internet show "The Cher Rue Show" www.thecherrueshow.com which airs live every Wednesday at 6 PM Pacific and 9 PM Eastern. 

A show geared for size acceptance which she  is the host and one of the show's Producer.

The Big Ballet-On YouTube

 When we go to the ballet, we see these young ladies and men that are very slender and built and give a wonderful performance and we have become accustom to seeing this. But with the Big Ballet From Russia gives Ballet a truly new meaning and just takes our breath away, as we see all these plus size beauties show the world that big girls can dance.

And don't think that because these young ladies have a fuller figure's doesn't mean they don't work out as hard as any dancer do, oh no they do work as hard or even more so because of there size and yes there backstage room looks like a buffet. 

The reason for this is they must maintain a plus size figure and because they work out so much and dance they are losing weight, which is a good thing but they need the dancers to be of a much fuller size a BBW. The Big Ballet troupe of Russia, average weight: 252lb.

The plus-sized Russian ballerinas perform in tutus and on point, just like their slim counterparts, but they have a rule that a traditional prima ballerina only dreams of: If you lose weight, you're out.


They have no body image problems and welcome laughter from the audience.

"I'm not ashamed of what I am," said Tatiana Gladkih, the slimmest of the ballerinas, at 200 pounds. "We expect people to laugh when we show them something funny."

And the women certainly strive to be funny. The second half of the program is pure slapstick when the girls are paired with male dancers who are a fraction of their size.

You have to admire these ladies as they go out and dance there hearts out and show the world that if you are a plus sized person you can do more than what you think. You just have to go out there and try it out.

James "Jimmy" Keene is the real inspiration for "Black Bird" the soaring hit series on Apple TV

Black Bird is six-episode miniseries that premiered on July 8, 2022, on Apple TV+ this   is based on the book Black Bird  by James Jimmy" Keene, he is the inspiration and subject of the Black Bird mini series on Apple TV+.

A true story of a young athlete that had a great football field career and in the midst of this made a couple of wrong decision and ending up with a ten-year prison sentence. He was offered a very interesting mission to coax a confession from a serial killer (Larry Hall) and walk totally free.

Now this is where it starts to get interesting as the story unfolds it starts making so many of us to get the Heebie-jeebis, it takes us into a dark side of the world, the part that we read at times in our headlines and just shake our heads asking how can anyone do such a thing. Black Bird is taking us down the dark side of that rabbit hole. 

The actors are all captivating us, as they take on the characters with so much vigor in this dark series that they have us all wanting more and longing for the next episode like a kid on Christmas day waiting to open their gifts. Without giving to much away this miniseries  

The series is based on a true story based on the book Black Bird  /In With The Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer, and A Dangerous Bargain for Redemption by James Keene. This is an excellent book to add to your library as well for your book club this is a well written book that gives you a peek into a serial killers morbid warped way of thinking and how one mans mission turns into a plight of redamation to right a wrong.
